What Gets in the Way of Gratitude?

I was deeply hurt by someone I love not long ago. đĽ
As a result, I spent a fair amount of time in the land of anger đĄ and resentment. Having been in the land of resentment before, (more on that in a few weeks) I knew how this story would end if I stayed stuck.
It would end with me shutting down and likely shutting this person out.
Maybe I would keep them at armâs distance or maybe Iâd kick them out of my life completely attempting to protect my broken heart.
However, I have come to learn that my lingering resentments have never led to more connection, more freedom, or deeper love.
Itâs just not possible.
If you are like meâor any other human beingâyou too have resentments toward someone you love â¤ď¸ or maybe someone you used to love.
Fortunately I have come to learn some simple and valuable strategies to turn resentment into authentic gratitude. Today I am excited to share with you an amazingly effective route out of resentment.
It takes only a bit of time, radical honesty and courage, but I believe in you.

Do you resent your spouse for not putting you first and working too much? Maybe you resent your ex-spouse for not doing their part, for cheating or lying. Do you resent your mom or dad for not being there or for their addiction. Maybe you resent yourself for a mistake you made.
As human beings we hold resentments all the time. Itâs natural.
