What happens when we parent like we garden?

One Mothers Journey From Fear to Faith to Freedom

June 12, 2022

At 18 years old when Lola Wright told her parents she was pregnant and committed to having her baby, life got a little crazy.

She was given an ultimatum – give the baby up and we will support you or else you are on your own.

While most of her peers were making their college decisions, Lola Wright decided to forgo college and financial support from her dad to become a mom.

This was not the easy path, but somehow, she knew it was the right path for her. Despite her fear, Lola chose to go it alone.

This was a radical act of trust and the greatest gift she could give herself…

After years of financial struggle and hardship and parenting her two young bi-racial kids through an abusive and dysfunctional relationship, Lola learned the power of trusting herself, her inner voice, and the universe, despite what the culture, her family, and friends might persuade her to believe.

Those years of incredible struggle set her on a journey of fear to incredible faith where Lola learned to find her strength, personal power, and ultimately her freedom.

Today, Lola passes on those invaluable life lessons to her four brilliant, empowered open-hearted human beings who are on their own journeys to understand the value of struggle in service of their own awakening.
