Step Into the New Year Clear

2023 was one of the biggest growth years of my life, and it was 100% due to some of my life’s most significant relationships.

What did your relationships teach you about you in 2023?

Each year, on this day, I cast a vision for the coming year.

I create a vision board and a plan for what I want my upcoming year to look like personally, professionally, and relationally. Last year, at this time, I created a pretty robust vision for 2023 that I felt excited to step into. 

I had no idea what was actually to come.

Today, I am not the same person I was in January 2023 by any stretch.

While I had a lot of ideas about the way I thought my relationships were supposed to go, they didn’t. 

Life had other plans for me.

In those early moments of 2023, I knew I had two choices: to lean in and learn or to resist what was flowing toward me.

Reluctantly, I accepted the invitation to go with the flow and step into trust in the deepest ways–trusting that each unexpected event was actually here for my highest good and the highest good of all.

Even if it sucked.

My 2023 relationship curriculum helped me learn to let go, surrender deeply, lean into vulnerability, guilt, and shame, build resilience, open my heart, trust, and hold nurturing boundaries. 

What did your relationships teach you?

Eventually, and with a lot of help, support, and guidance, I learned how to heal all the parts of myself that were coming forward to be loved and accepted.

I learned how strong I actually am, and I experienced the ways I had co-created disconnection to make myself feel safe, secure, and in control. 

Taking the path less traveled was not the easier path by any means, yet it yielded profound and transformative results in me and, consequently, my relationships, and I wouldn’t change any of it.
